Careers

Ottumwa Christian School, where the heart of education is the education of the heart. This means that we have a different starting point than public schools, and that starting point is God’s Word.  It effects everything we do, and it makes all the difference for those who choose to be a part of our mission. Our focus is not just filling students minds with knowledge but changing their behavior as well. It means that we put more time and effort into the lives of our students, and because of our small class sizes we can do that without overwhelming ourselves. It means that what is most important to us is not how much our students know but Who they know. That doesn’t mean that we relax our emphasis on academics. On the contrary, we hold our students to a high level of excellence, a standard that is usually significantly higher than public schools. We emphasize gratitude and pride in our country. Our families are invested and supportive of our teachers and staff. If you are like-minded and want to get involved, we invite you to apply for an open position or call us to learn more.

The students are great and are so willing to learn. The curriculum is Christian based. The teachers truly care about the students.
