Affordable Christian Education Through STO
Ottumwa Christian School participates in Iowa’s School Tuition Organization (STO) program, which provides need-based tuition assistance for qualifying families. Through STO support, more students can access Christ-centered education.
Iowa donors who give to STOs can receive a 75% state income tax credit and may designate their gift to directly support students at OCS.
Admissions Process
Complete Admission Application
To complete your application, please submit the following:

A letter of recommendation from your church leadership

A copy of the most recent unofficial transcript or report card

A signed Statement of Faith

A signed Position Statement on Human Sexuality and Identity
Schedule Interview
All new PreK–12 students must complete the following steps:

Schedule an interview and campus tour with school administration and a teacher (when available)

Student and parent(s) will participate in an admissions interview
-
Additional academic assessments may be administered if needed (e.g., Abeka, EasyCBM, FAST)

Review the Student Handbook and complete the

Handbook Cooperation Agreement
Student is granted admission
Once all application steps have been completed — including submission of required documents, interview, and any necessary assessments — the student’s file will be reviewed by school leadership.
Admission to Ottumwa Christian School is officially granted upon approval by the Administration. Families will receive notification of acceptance and next steps to complete enrollment.
Complete Registration
After admission is granted, families must complete the registration process to finalize enrollment at Ottumwa Christian School.
This includes:

Submitting all enrollment paperwork

Paying the registration fee

Setting up ACH payments or applying ESA/STO funds (if applicable)

Completing all steps by June 30
*Applications may be submitted after June 30, but a late registration fee will be assessed and financial assistance through ESA and STO will not be available.
